Committee for Private Education (CPE)

The Committee for Private Education envisions a private education sector which is credible, inspires confidence in stakeholders and able to deliver quality education to fulfil the aspirations of students seeking to upgrade themselves. This vision is embodied in their vision statement, “A trusted and well-regarded private education sector.”

Established under the Private Education Act, CPE is a statutory board authorised with the legislative power to regulate the private education sector. In addition to its role as the sector regulator of private education institutions, CPE facilitates capability development efforts to uplift standards in the local private education industry.

Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF)

Private education institutions which have a significant impact on the Singapore education brand are required to be registered under the Enhanced Registration Framework. The four aims of ERF are:

  1. Raise corporate and academic governance standards
  2. Enhance student protection measures
  3. Compel disclosure of key information by private education institutions
  4. Require private education institutions to seek renewal for their registratio

SAA Global Education is registered with the Committee for Private Education 4-year Registration UEN: 201001206N Validity: 20/5/2014 to 19/5/2018

EduTrust Certification Scheme (EduTrust)

SAA Global Education is proud to be awarded with EduTrust Certification. The EduTrust Certification Scheme provides a trust mark of quality. Private education institutions need to achieve higher and more comprehensive standards in their corporate governance and administration, academic processes, student protection and support services, and financial viability. EduTrust enables schools to differentiate themselves as of a higher quality by achieving certification awards that correspond to their standards in these key areas of management and student services.

EduTrust has put in place mandatory requirements which include Fee Protection Scheme and Medical Insurance coverage for all students.

SAA Global Education attained its EduTrust Certification in 2010. (Certificate Number: EDU-2-2025)

Fee Protection Scheme (FPS)

FPS is applicable to all students (regardless of nationality and the type of passes, i.e. dependant’s passes, Student Pass, work permit etc). It’s compulsory for all students to apply for FPS and sign a Student Contract when they enrol for courses with any Private Education Institution (PEI).

SAA Global Education adopts FPS in the form of Insurance facility with Lonpac Insurance Bhd. You may download a copy of the policy certificate from this LINK. A copy of the Master Insurance Agreement is available upon request. The Master Insurance Agreement sets out the events under which Lonpac Insurance Bhd shall indemnify the student for fees paid to SAA Global Education.

CPE has recently launched its website for student to check if they are protected by FPS.

PEI-Student Contract

AA Global Education will enter into a standard PEI-Student Contract with our students. The contract lays out the important terms and conditions governing the relationship between the student and the Academy. We will honour all terms and conditions spelt out in the contract and in all communication materials.  A copy of the standard student contract (for inspection & viewing purposes) can be found on the CPE website www.cpe.gov.sg.

Medical Insurance

It is compulsory for all students to have medical insurance coverage for hospitalisation and related medical treatment for the entire course duration. SAA Global Education adopts a group medical insurance with AXA Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd. You may download a copy of the documents:

CPE Student Services Centre

The CPE Student Services Centre is a one-stop service centre rendering help and support to both international and local students enrolled with private schools in Singapore. The Student Services Centre can help students in the following areas:

  • Answer questions and attend to feedback
  • Provide reliable information on studying in private schools and living in Singapore
  • Advise on education options, school registration procedures, student pass application process and accommodation issues
  • Provide educational talks to guide student in making informed choices of schools
  • Provide advice and help if students have problems with your school
  • Provide on-site Internet facilities for students to access updated information on private education
